In 1988 eleven years after the death of seven members of the Baader-Meinhof group at Stammheim high-security prison, Gerhard Richter presents the most important historical images created in post-WWII Germany with an image cycle in 15 parts, exploring the topic "terror". The new edition of the catalog of Museum Haus Esters, Krefeld and Portikus, Frankfurt frpm 1989 is published on the occasion of the presentation of 15 paintings on exhibit at Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden as loans from the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
